Autism Class February Update

2nd Mar 2026

February has been a busy and engaging month in our Autism Class. The children have particularly enjoyed our water play activities, which support sensory development, communication and fine motor skills while providing wonderful opportunities for shared learning.

We have been developing our literacy skills through ICT, using interactive programmes to strengthen letter recognition, early reading and listening skills. The children are becoming more confident and independent as they engage with digital learning tools.

Our theme this month has been Breakfast, where we explored different foods and built vocabulary through meaningful, everyday learning experiences.

As part of their weather project, Rian and Ella have been closely monitoring rainfall by designing and making their own rain gauge. They are carefully observing and recording their findings, showing great curiosity and enthusiasm for their learning.

A very happy 6th birthday to Louis; we hope you had a wonderful day!

We are very proud of all the progress made this month and look forward to more exciting learning ahead.
