Autism Class News

What a fantastic few weeks we have had in our Autism Class!

The recent sweltering weather brought plenty of opportunities for outdoor learning and fun. The children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the concept of capacity through a variety of hands-on water activities. Our paddling pool became the perfect learning station as pupils investigated filling, emptying, measuring and comparing quantities while staying cool in the sunshine. There was lots of laughter, teamwork and learning throughout these engaging sessions.

We were also busy preparing for a very special celebration as the children enthusiastically decorated and coloured birthday sheets for Charlie’s 6th birthday. Everyone enjoyed creating colourful masterpieces and helping to make Charlie’s day extra special.

We were delighted to welcome Rian back to school after a period of illness. He was greatly missed by both his classmates and staff, and it was wonderful to have him back with us. We are incredibly proud of Rian, who recently delivered a fantastic presentation to Sixth Class. He spoke with great confidence and enthusiasm, showcasing not only his knowledge but also the tremendous progress he has made in developing his ICT skills. His hard work and determination were evident, and he received a very warm response from his Sixth class audience.

A special mention must also go to Ella, who has been working diligently to complete her weather project. Ella has shown excellent commitment and perseverance, producing work of a very high standard. We are delighted with her efforts and the pride she takes in her learning.

One of the highlights of the term was our school tour to Clonfert Farm. The children enjoyed a wonderful day filled with adventure, exploration and fun.
We are so proud of all our pupils and the progress they continue to make each day. Their enthusiasm, kindness, curiosity and positive attitudes make our classroom a truly special place to learn.
