5th class have had a busy April. We were learning about scale and mapping which is a very important life skill. The children measured the area of our classroom which is a massive 76m squared. If anyone at home is measuring up for new carpets 5th class are the children to go to.
We also measured the basketball court with a trundle wheel and that's 270m squared. The children then drew some very accurate 'bird's eye view' maps of our classroom. I think we may have some budding Dermot Bannons in this class!!!
