First & Second Class March Update
27th Mar 2026
Now that we have reached the Easter break, we can reflect on a very busy March. To mark World Book Day earlier this month the children engaged in a webinar with Tom Gates author Liz Pichon. They also dressed up as their favourite book characters and showed off their wonderful costumes at the fashion show.
For Seachtain na Gaeilge, along with trying to speak more Irish for the week, the children took part in a Seanfhocail Art Competition where they illustrated the phrase 'An rud is annamh is iontach' or what is rare is wonderful. Irish speaker of the week was awarded, the children took part in a little Céilí and the children wore something green for Lá Glas.
Billy kindly did a bonus GAA lesson with First and Second class which they enjoyed and each child received a sticker for their participation..
A big thank you to the Parents Association who arranged for all classes to do an Easter Egg hunt.
The classes also received a visit from Maynooth Access Group who used a great variety of toys to help to make the children aware of the needs and voices of persons with disabilities in our communities.
A very Happy Easter to all. I hope you have a lovely break.
