Fourth Class January Update
5th Feb 2026
It has been a busy and exciting time for 4th class! In PE, pupils have been developing their teamwork and coordination skills through rugby, showing great enthusiasm, effort and teamwork. They have also been showing great progress in their swimming lessons!
During a rainy golden time, the children put their maths skills to work by creating and exploring patterns using blocks, demonstrating their creativity.
Fourth class also enjoyed a very informative workshop with Kildare Wildlife, where they learned about local animals, habitats and the importance of caring for our natural environment. The pupils were highly engaged and asked lots of thoughtful questions throughout the session.
The highlight of the month was their fantastic performance during assembly, where 4th class confidently recited their poem “Cheddar with Pickle” by Ken Nesbitt. Their clear voices and expression brought plenty of smiles and laughter to the audience.
