Junior Infants December Update

19th Dec 2025

We got into the festive spirit this month by opening our very own Santa’s Workshop in the classroom! We were busy little elves wrapping presents and working hard together. We also welcomed our classroom elf, Buddy, who got up to lots of silly mischief. From writing “67” on our board to putting Ms. O’Toole on the naughty list, we didn’t know what to expect. He even caused trouble at the photocopier with his elf friend, Sprinkles!

We held our own Toy Show in the classroom, where we proudly showed off our favourite toys from home which was great fun. We also lit up our corridor with our amazing finger-painted Christmas lights.

The highlight of the month has to be performing our Wriggly Nativity, which we spent lots of time practising. We made all our families and teacher so proud and it was such a special day for everyone.

In SESE, we learned all about the importance of our five senses, enjoying blindfolded walks to help us understand just how important our sense of sight is.

We designed and wrote our very own Christmas cards too, which we were so excited to give to our loved ones.

We even got to meet Santa and his special guest, Rosie, his dog!

We finished off 2025, a busy and happy term, with a Christmas party, which we really deserved after all our hard work!
