Safer Internet Day 2026 Award

8th May 2026

We are delighted to share the fantastic news that Robertstown NS has received a Highly Commended Award in the Best Overall Campaign (Primary) category at the Safer Internet Day Awards 2026.

This is a tremendous achievement for our school community, particularly as only three schools in the country received a Highly Commended Award in this category.

The judges praised our campaign for its excellent engagement across all class levels, the impressive artwork created by pupils, and the strong integration of the Safer Internet Day theme throughout the school. They also recognised the involvement of the entire school community — as part of our campaign, we were fortunate to receive valuable support and input from Webwise, our Community Garda Orlaith Fahy, and the National Parents Council, all of whom helped to reinforce important online safety messages for our pupils and families.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to Ms. Byrne, who coordinated the week’s events and activities. Her hard work, organisation, and enthusiasm played a huge role in the success of our campaign.

We are incredibly proud of all the students, teachers, parents, and wider school community who contributed to this successful campaign. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in helping to promote a safer and better internet for all.
