Second & Third Class June Update
June has been a very busy and exciting month as we come to the end of the school year. The children have enjoyed lots of special activities, visitors, trips, and fun-filled events.
We were delighted to welcome Josh, a firefighter from Newbridge, who came in to speak to the children about fire safety. He shared important advice about keeping safe around fire and what to do in an emergency. The children were especially excited to try on some of his firefighter gear, which made the visit even more memorable.
Our 3rd Class pupils went on their school tour to Clara Lara and had a fantastic day full of fun and adventure. It was a lovely way to celebrate all their hard work throughout the year.
Active Week was another highlight of the month. The children enjoyed two trips to the park, games on the astro, yoga sessions, and a well-earned ice cream to finish off the week. Sports Day was also a wonderful success. The children had a ball taking part in the sack race, tug of war, and many other fun activities.
During the warm weather last week, we tried our best to stay cool by spending time in the shade. The children enjoyed drawing with chalk outdoors and had great fun making some explosions.
Overall, June has been a month full of activity, laughter, and lovely memories as we bring the year to a close.
