In maths, we were focusing on weight and had lots of practice weighing things and comparing the weights of many classroom items.
In English, we did lots of Tricky Word practice, we read some stories about minibeasts and we focused on Narrative Writing. We have some fantastic authors in our midst! There are some wonderful narrative writing pieces published on the wall in our classroom.
We learned a lot about minibeasts also. We went on a minibeast hunt and brought some creatures into the classroom to examine more closely.
We learned that ladybirds hibernate in the winter, butterflies taste things with their feet, slugs have four noses and grasshoppers store their energy in their legs to make them jump higher!
In art, we created some amazing new minibeasts which are on display in the corridor.
We also got time to play outside and soak up some of that beautiful sunshine!!
