Sixth Class April Update
In English, the children have been developing their narrative writing skills through creative historical fiction pieces. The class showed great imagination and creativity while bringing stories from the past to life.
In Geography and Science, we have been learning all about migratory animals on land, sea, and sky. The children explored the fascinating journeys these animals make across the world and discovered how migration helps them survive. To link with this topic, the class created beautiful watercolour paintings inspired by a migratory animal and habitat of their choice. The finished artwork turned out wonderfully and has brightened up our classroom displays.
We have also been enjoying learning about France as part of an in-depth class project, inspired by one of our classmates’ French heritage. As part of this work, the children explored the world of Impressionism and created fantastic paintings based on the works of famous French artist Claude Monet, including Water Lilies, Woman with a Parasol, and Impression, Sunrise.
Most excitingly of all, auditions were held for our upcoming school musical, Tangled! There was a fantastic buzz of excitement throughout the school, and we are all looking forward to sharing more news about the production very soon.
