Sixth Class March Update

27th Mar 2026

6th Class have had a very busy and exciting few weeks. The highlight for the class was undoubtedly their Confirmation. The children have been preparing for this special sacrament throughout the year, taking part in their pledge and retreat along the way. It was a wonderful day for everyone involved, and we are incredibly proud of how the children represented themselves and their families. Photographs from the day will follow in due course.

The class have also been very engaged in their learning across the curriculum. They took part in a number of lively and enjoyable debates, where they developed their confidence, communication skills, and ability to express their opinions respectfully.

There were lots of fun activity week, with the children thoroughly enjoying Seachtain na Gaeilge, Internet Safety Day and a Maynooth Access visit. As part of their St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, they participated in a céilí and created fantastic depictions of leprechauns.

6th class have been busy making clay coasters, pots and figurines for Easter. The class explored electricity and circuits, and had great fun working hands-on to build and test their own circuits.
